COMMENTS FROM BELL BOX MURALS: Suzani are traditional Central Asian hand-embroidered tapestries and are a very important part of nomadic artistic culture. Not only they have served as canvases for artistic expression, they are also important links to history, geography and culture of that part of the world.
ARTIST COMMENTS: “I am so extremely grateful to Bell Box Murals for being able to bring the warmth of the Uzbek sun to the streets of Toronto. I would dare to say on behalf of our little diaspora that it means a lot to have a public representation in the country we now call home”.
