ARTIST’S COMMENTS: “My piece is inspired by a talk with an elderly neighbour who told me one day I needed to watch the birds zip back and forth from their nests. The woman told me that to her, the birds represented the people who’ve made Toronto their home, hard-working, resourceful and living in community”.
